Commissioned by the lodha foundation, Sai Vishram Gruh serves as the ideal mid-way stop for devotees embarking on a pilgrimage to Shirdi.
The Project is conceived as a series of pavilions, nestled within the landscape, offering an environment conducive for rest and contemplation. A light weight tensile roof forms a distinctive element of the architectural vocabulary, integrating disparate visitor activities into a modest yet contemporary built form.
The landscape strategy tries to justify the overall usage of the site by integrating varying levels through the careful positioning of walkways, ramps and staircases in a campus which otherwise serves as a very limited program.
